ADVENTURING GROUPS
Wyrmsbane
A group that has operated in the Western Highlands for many years, but only a few of the original members remain. At one time they boasted nearly 20 brave souls and claimed to have slain over a dozen dragons.
Wyrmsbane formed at the behest of Prince Guillemin, who rallied brave souls to help take back his rightful kingdom in the year 3286 AS. The great red dragon Razethae had besieged his castle, killing scores of guards and villagers alike including his own parents when the prince was just a child. Though brave men died in the quest, they succeeded in killing the dragon and claiming the throne for Prince Guillemin. He knighted each of the remaining original members, but only Sir Michael chose to stay in the kingdom as his advisor and military commander. The remainder took the name 'Wyrmsbane' and chose to continue ridding the land of dragons.
This group was not the first to choose such a bold name and swear to hunt down dragons wherever they spread their evil, but they are one of the few to make good on that claim.
Dozens of other stalwart adventurers have joined the group since it's inception. Many of their members have died on their grand exploits, but just as many have gone on to found groups of their own or retire in great wealth and glory.
Their symbol is an upright gleaming sword piercing the head of a dragon with a rising sun in the background.

Collin's Band
Formed by famed adventurers Sir Collin of the Highlands and Sir Morrigan Vale after their success in the Wyrmsbane company. When the group became too large they took a few other members and founded their own company, whose focus would not be so strict in slaying dragons but in rooting out any evil that would threaten the safety of the good folk of the Western Highlands. Ironically, the group met it's demise in battle with a dragon in 3305 AS. They were killed while slaying the great green wyrm xxxxxxxx, who had been plaguing the people near their fort of Collinswood. The dragon was also killed in the fight, and only Morrigan's apprentice Hiato walked away from the encounter, though he quickly squandered most of the vast fortune he took with him and died not long after in a foolish gambit while defending Collinswood from goblins.

Blackfist Company
This is a group comprised of about 6 members at any given time, though some of the group tends to change from time to time. It is led by a bold warrior named ...... He and his brother ...... make up the two long-standing members.
Blackfist Company is well-known throughout Bastion, if not well-loved. Their leader is a braggart, loud and boorish, cowardly and opportunistic. The company has fought in defense of Bastion and killed mighty beasts to be sure, and would do much better for themselves if ...... did not take every opportunity to flout his arrogance.
Their symbol is a mailed black fist on a background of red above green.
